We’re running our first Triangle Moonstone painting contest, and everyone is invited! Whether you’re a seasoned painter, someone who has never painted a model before, or somewhere in between, this is a great excuse to sit down with the model, paint it your way, and share it with the community.
The Model#
One model per entrant. Pick any single official Moonstone model you like. You must own the physical model, it is not provided. It may not be a proxy or model that is scanned, copied, recast, or otherwise created in a manner not supported by Goblin King Games.
Finished models painted before the contest are welcome! This is about sharing your work.
Who Can Enter#
This contest is open to members of the Triangle Moonstone community. You don’t need to be competitive or experienced, you just need to want to try.
Entrants under 18 need a parent or guardian to accept the prize.
Rules#
- One entry per person.
- The model must be painted by you. Standard painting, kitbashing, and conversions of your chosen model are all fair game. This includes plastic or 3D-printed conversion parts and bases.
- Submit clear photos of your finished piece, at least one of the front and one of the back. The background will not be considered. Please ensure the photographs are clear and well-lit. No watermarks, logos, or text overlays on entry photos. We will request additional photographs and specify corrections if necessary.
- No AI / Digital Editing. Photos must show the physical hand-painted model. No AI-generated or AI-edited images. Editing is limited to cropping and basic exposure/white-balance.
- Get your entry in by the deadline. Late entries won’t be eligible.
Entries that violate these rules will be disqualified.
How To Enter#
When you’re done, email your photos of the painted model to [email protected] by the deadline. Include your name (or Discord handle) and the name you’d like your entry credited to, and we’ll confirm we received it. If you don’t hear back from us within 24 hours of sending in your submission, please reach out via email (without an attachment) or Discord.
Deadline#
Entries close Sunday, November 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. That’s the date. Mark your calendar.
Prizes#
The top three finishers will receive Xepher Arcade gift cards:
- 1st place — $20 Xepher gift card
- 2nd place — $10 Xepher gift card
- 3rd place — $5 Xepher gift card
I’m going to enter, too! If I happen to win, my gift card will go to a random entrant who didn’t score in the top 3 places.
Gift card rewards will be digital, and delivered by email or SMS within seven days of the winners being announced. If no valid email address or phone number is provided before that time, the prize will be distributed randomly to an entrant who didn’t score in the top 3 places.
Prizes are not transferable by the winner and have no cash equivalent.
Judging#
Judging will be handled by an unaffiliated third party, so you can enter with confidence knowing we’re not picking favorites ourselves. Winners will be announced on this site and in the Discord once judging is complete.
Entries are judged on painting technique, neatness, color choices, and overall presentation. Basing and conversions count toward presentation.
The judge’s decisions are final. In the event of a tie, rankings will be randomly determined.
Painting Gallery#
If you’re proud of the work you’ve done (and you should be!), you’re welcome to also submit it to be displayed in the Triangle Moonstone gallery. That’s entirely optional, not a requirement to enter the contest, but we’d love to showcase the beautiful things y’all make.
Permission For Use#
By entering, you give Triangle Moonstone permission to publish your entry photos on our site and in Discord, with credit. Gallery display is separate and opt-in.
